Matil and I decided that we wanted to go see a show at the iconic Carnegie Hall, which just so happens to be celebrating its 125th year of musical bliss.  I had assumed we would see an orchestra or maybe an opera, but as I was perusing the calendar and checking some samples of music… I came across Joe Bonamassa.  Wow!

No, I have never heard of him before.  I can say now that not having heard of him was truly my loss, because his style is very powerful and equally unique.  He plays the acoustic guitar and his style is a fantastic blend of blues, country, rock, and even a bit of metal.  You can check out a lot of his music on YouTube, and here is a sample of Slow Train:

Not exactly what you might have expected for a night at Carnegie Hall, right??  So we lucked out with this- we got just about the last available seats on the last show of his current tour.
