Sweet Sixteen.

Today is our twelfth wedding anniversary.  Lucky for me- Matil has always been a show-stopper, so we had a wonderful night out!  I snapped this picture just before leaving, in the three minute time window that we had, and I think it came out rather well.  : )

We went to the moon and back so as to get a closer look at the stars- and it was a wild ride.

That wild, wonderful ride was not just last night, though.  It has been every day for the previous twelve years and we are continuously reaching higher and further while always remaining together.  Matil asked me what I would suggest the secret is, if I were to explain it to anyone else.  Here is the short version, so as to not turn this post into a sermon:

Firstly, we congratulate everyone who has been married longer than us- and we work together to reach your milestones.  Second, my opinion of the successful secret is being genuine.  Genuine in everything we do- our love, our communication, our reasoning, ourselves.  Everything with one hundred percent effort- not for ourselves, but for each other.

Love is the only rational act.

Just a quick note on the photography for anyone interested:  It is simply amazing what can be done with digital cameras today.  The camera creates it’s own wireless hot spot that allows it and my iPhone to communicate with each other.  My iPhone becomes a video display of what the camera is looking at.  I can adjust the focus, exposure, and just about any other value.  I set it on a short self timer, drop the phone, pose, and snap-perfect.

Let’s creative and immortalize ourselves through photography!  Alternatively, you can hire a photographer and it works far better.  Seriously, give it a try, most photographers are starving artists that beg for venues to express their talent~

TL;DR: Take pictures.
